WELCOME!
This website aims to fully document all the class 66's that have worked in the UK, including those that have now moved to Europe. When searching around on the web it became clear to me that much of this data was not easy, or nearly impossible, to find. So I took it upon myself to try and record, as fully as possible, all the liveries, re-liveries, re-numberings, namings, operator changes, railtours & passenger services worked, etc. Given the number of locos in this class and the fact that many are currently in France and Poland, it is clearly a major undertaking to even try. Also since they are practically all still in service this data is ever increasing over time...
To start with this will be a fairly basic data set, but I will be adding to it on a pretty much daily basis (as time permits) until I have at least all the basic details for each loco in place. Over time I'd like to expand the site and include some photo libraries (currently adding some photos to the loco pages at the moment) and other features such as statistics and reports, given how much data I will eventually obtain, but first things first. The fleet list button at the top of the page leads to the main catalogue of data, and all the individual loco pages with the key facts, and this will keep me busy for some time to come!
To help keep track of what has been updated, and when, I'm maintaining an updates page (link at bottom of the page) which includes namings, re-liveries, pool changes, etc as well as changes to the website itself, such as updated railtour info, new / updated pages on the site, and so on.
